The Making of a Page

repression process title page web

I was asked to come up with a look at my “process” for a University class talk, and given that no assignment required more process than the story I contributed to First Second’s recent release “Above The Dreamless Dead”, I went there. http://us.macmillan.com/abovethedreamlessdead/dbtmp17673
The following details the creation of page 1 of a six page adaptation. Follow me into my personal No Man’s Land, will you?

Dylan Makes The Century Mark

Last Saturday (October 25th) The Dylan Thomas Circle Of Vancouver mounted a small production featuring music and a live monologue by actor Damon Claderwood as Dylan in honour of the imminent 100th birthday. I wrote roughly half the monologue– which brought us up to Dylan’s final days in New York. Fan Expo 2014

As the title suggests I will be at Fan Expo Vancouver this weekend, April 18-20 http://www.fanexpovancouver.com/. There is however, a chance I may not make the Friday evening.
The program erroneously suggests I will only be signing at the Comic Legends Legal Defense booth, but that’s just on Sunday 1-2pm (please come out and support!). Plenty of other Vancouver comic talent will be haunting the Artist Alley aisles– including the one and only Rebecca Dart, Robin Bougie, Steve Rolston, Jason Copland, Ed Brisson, and many more.
Table PB16– see you there, okay?
